## Combine multiple modes on one key
```{raw} html
:file: _hotkey_routing.html
```
**In this example, even Press waits instead of opening immediately.** PME waits and routes the input to the first action that qualifies. Double Click and Key Chords can also share the same key.
(hotkey-mode-click-conflicts)=
**Click cannot trigger if Press, Hold, or Tweak handles the input.** To separate a short press from a drag using Blender's detection, combine Click with Click Drag.
Outside Context Router, PME may invoke Click Drag from Press assigned to the same Keymap, key, and modifiers. This route bypasses Blender's drag detection and Direction setting. Context Router does not include Click Drag in its routing.
**To show Click / Click Drag:** enable {guilabel}`Settings > Hotkeys > Native Click / Click Drag`.
Release only means letting go. Click also requires that you have not dragged. Release is not a PME mode.
See {ref}`Hotkey settings ` for assigning modes, and {ref}`Settings > Hotkeys ` for timeouts and drag thresholds.
